SW Oak Street in Hillsboro will be closed from July 30 to August 7 for a railroad track replacement. The closure will occur at SW Adams Avenue starting at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30, and continue until Thursday, August 7. This work is being carried out by Portland & Western Railroad.

The closure will be in effect around the clock during this period. However, SW Baseline will remain open for traffic.

Portland & Western Railroad is replacing tracks approximately 500 feet further south from last year’s endpoint of work through the intersection at SW Oak Street. The construction is scheduled to be completed by Friday, August 8. It should be noted that work schedules are subject to change due to weather or other factors.

Travelers are advised to follow signed detour routes and check TripCheck.com for updates before traveling, as SW Oak and Baseline are part of state highway OR 8 and included on TripCheck.
