Thousands of runners took part in the Eugene Marathon and Half Marathon on April 26, filling the streets of Eugene and Springfield. The event began outside Hayward Field, where participants gathered to compete in both full and half marathon races.
The marathon is a significant event for local athletes and community members, offering an opportunity for runners to challenge themselves while drawing spectators from across the region. Participants included both seasoned competitors and those running for personal achievement or charity.
Jackson Siddall won the men’s division of the Eugene Marathon at Hayward Field with a time of 2:15:02. Amanda Martin secured victory in the women’s division, finishing with a time of 2:34:20. In the half marathon events, Jenny Schilling claimed first place among women with a time of 1:13:04, while Noah Rasmussen won the men’s race with a time of 1:05:19.

This is what he’s wanted.” Bret Freed joined fellow runners in high spirits stating, “I work for Hoka. We did a hot dog relay a couple of weeks ago, so I bought it for that,” adding “I am just here to keep the vibes high.” Catherine Kerber wore glitter across her nose and cheeks at Hayward Field explaining, “I love glitter and I am a coach for girls on a run, and they love glitter.”
Volunteers contributed by preparing finish-line bags under Hayward Field as crowds cheered along Agate Street before race start times. Friends like Emma Watson and Madaline Moore showed support by cheering on their friend Samantha Lif during her run.
The annual Eugene Marathon continues to serve as an important gathering point for athletes and supporters alike.
