A Turner, Oregon man has been sentenced to over 17 years in federal prison for drug trafficking in Central Oregon. Ryan Gossett, 39, received a sentence of 210 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release.
Court documents show that Gossett was apprehended on April 26, 2024, in Bend, Oregon after fleeing prosecution for armed robbery charges in Marion County. At the time of his arrest, authorities found him with a handgun and small quantities of methamphetamine and fentanyl. Two days later, investigators from the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Detectives Division searched Gossett’s vehicle and discovered more than 900 grams of methamphetamine, 330 grams of fentanyl, and firearm magazines.
Gossett has several prior convictions related to the delivery of controlled substances. He was indicted on June 20, 2024, and pleaded guilty on July 9, 2025, to one count of possession with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of methamphetamine.
The investigation was led by the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office with support from the Central Oregon Drug Enforcement Team and the United States Marshals Service. The case was prosecuted by Andrew R. Doyle, Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Oregon.
