Work on U.S. 197 is scheduled for Tuesday, with repairs beginning at 6:30 a.m. and continuing until 3 p.m. Flaggers will be present to stop traffic in both directions during the project. Southbound vehicles will be halted near the top of Auction Yard Hill at milepost 3, while northbound vehicles will be stopped near milepost 6. In addition, traffic on Five Mile Road will be held before the intersection to keep it clear for repair crews.

The area sees significant vehicle activity due to its proximity to a landfill, so drivers are advised that some delays are likely. Travelers should plan ahead and allow extra time when passing through this section.

Officials report that the road remains safe for travel, and crews are monitoring conditions closely.
