A Warm Springs, Oregon man has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for sexually abusing two minors on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation.

Harold Charley, age 39, received a sentence of 240 months in federal prison and will be subject to a lifetime term of supervised release. According to court documents, Charley, who was previously convicted as a sex offender, engaged in sexual abusive contact with two minor victims between the ages of 12 and 16 over several weeks in January 2024.

Charley was charged on September 23, 2025 by superseding information with two counts of abusive sexual contact. He pleaded guilty to both counts on October 7, 2025.

The investigation was conducted by the FBI with support from the Warm Springs Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Pamela Paaso prosecuted the case.

The case is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative started by the Department of Justice in May 2006 aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse. The project coordinates efforts among federal, state, and local agencies to locate offenders and assist victims. More details about Project Safe Childhood can be found at www.justice.gov/psc.
