The Washington County Sheriff’s Office conducted a compliance mission on April 11, monitoring local retailers for illegal alcohol sales to minors. Deputies and volunteer reserve deputies oversaw Search and Rescue cadets, aged 18 to 20, as they attempted to purchase alcohol at 42 stores using their real identification.

Sales clerks at Cedar Mill Liquor Store, Green Light Food Mart, Safeway on Cornell Road, The Booze Barn, and Target on Beaverton Hillsdale Highway were each cited for furnishing alcohol to a minor.
