Warner Pacific University Softball Head Coach Alex Flores announced this morning, on June 3rd, the signing of freshman pitcher/first baseman Jovita Laloulu to the 2022 Softball recruiting class.
"Jovita will be a great addition to the Warner Pac!" Coach Flores declared.
"She will be helpful in both the circle and the infield, while bringing a strong bat to the lineup. She wants to compete at the highest level she's capable of, which we love to see in her potential as a Knight!" said Flores with determination in her voice.
Laloulu comes to Warner Pacific with a lengthy softball resume from four years of competitive high school and travel ball experience, playing in her hometown of Maui, Hawaii for Maui High School and lettering in Varsity Softball all four scholastic seasons.
On the diamond, Laloulu was a two-time Valley Invite Gold Division Champion from 2018 to 2019, nabbed a second place placement in the Maui Interscholastic League (MIL) Softball Championship in 2022, and was selected as a Maui News MIL All-Stars Honorable Mention in 2019.
Academically, Laloulu wasted no time establishing herself in the classroom, as she graduated from Maui High School this past spring with two Principal's List achievements, two years of Honor Roll selections, and walked the stage of her graduation ceremony as a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Honors Graduate with Summa Cum Laude status.
Laloulu will be pursuing a degree in Kinesiology while at Warner Pacific, and Coach Flores and the Knights look forward to welcoming her to the mainland at the end of this upcoming summer for her first collegiate fall ball season.
