First-Generation College Celebration Day
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2022,
1 – 3PM
Join us for our annual First-Generation College Celebration Day!
Being the first person in one's family to attend college can be challenging. We want to make sure our First-Generation students feel a community of encouragement and support while at Mt. Hood Community College.
On November 8th, MHCC will join other colleges and universities throughout the nation in recognizing the hard work of our First-Generation students and community. Whether you are a First-Generation student, a First-Generation staff or faculty member, or are a champion for our First-Generation community, join us for an afternoon of community.
We will be hosting a screening and brief discussion on the film First Generation in MHCC's Visual Arts Theater. Afterwards, attendees are invited to the Multicultural & Diversity Resource Center (Student Union, building 10, AC 1050) for light refreshments. We hope you will join us.
This event is in person. Register for the event here.
*Help support Barney's Pantry: Tickets are free but we ask attendees to bring 2 non-perishable food items to help support Barney's Pantry (food pantry for students), if able. All can attend regardless if they are able to bring a food donation.
