Martinez and Leach Receive NAIA All-American Honors
Warner Pacific men's soccer had two players receive honors when the NAIA released their list of men's soccer All-Americans earlier today.
The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2022 NAIA Men's Soccer All-America teams on Wednesday, after the competition of the national championship in Decatur, Alabama.
Andrew Martinez and Hunter Leach represented the Knights on the NAIA honors list. Martinez was chosen as a first team All-American while Leach received an honorable mention.
The pair of Martinez and Leach were huge contributors for the Knights' attack this season. Martinez led the NAIA with a historic 31 goals on the season and also tied for 1st in the conference with 9 assists. Leach himself was tied for 4th in the conference with 13 goals while also tallying 5 assists on the season.
The NAIA selection adds to the list of honors already brought home by both Leach and Martinez. The duo were named All-Conference first team selections and Martinez was also named both Conference Newcomer of the Year and Conference Offensive Player of the Year.
