The Knights fell in their road matchup on Saturday as Oregon Tech came away with the win by a score of 75-51.
Warner Pacific (1-20, 1-15) kept things close in the first quarter against the Owls (15-7, 11-5). A bucket for the Knights as time expired in the first quarter put the Knights within three going into the second.
Warner continued to fight in the second quarter, as a pair of threes from Kenna Coleman and Paityn Rhode as well as a layup from Emily Brown cut into an eight-point deficit and brought the Knights within one point. Oregon Tech finished the quarter strong however, and were able to regain some breathing room, going into the half up by seven.
The Owls had a strong performance in the second half, keeping the Knights at bay in the third and extending their lead all throughout the fourth quarter. Oregon Tech went on to get the win by a score of 75-51.
Bright spots in Warner Pacific's play include Alexa Mee who recorded a personal season high of 13 points while also leading the Knights with five rebounds. Freshman Paityn Rhode also provided some offense, recording 13 points.
The loss puts the Knights at 1-20 on the season. Warner Pacific women's basketball is back in action on Feb. 3, when they return home to take on College of Idaho.
