Warner Pacific University Women's Volleyball Head Coach Kim Lissinna announced this morning, on June 17th, the signing of freshman libero Hana Yamaguchi to the 2022 Women's Volleyball recruiting class.
"Hana is a type of player that goes after everything. She goes without hesitation and tracks the ball well," Coach Lissinna shared on Yamaguchi's skillset in the back row.
"We are looking for her to help us solidify the future of our back row defense. I'm excited to watch her grow and push the competitiveness in our gym every day," Lissinna continued.
Yamaguchi will be coming to Warner Pacific after growing up locally in Beaverton, Oregon, where she played three years of Varsity Girls' Volleyball at Southridge High School. Academically, Yamaguchi earned three straight Honor Roll awards at Southridge.
Yamaguchi will be pursuing a degree in Biology while at Warner Pacific, and plans on attending preseason sessions with the WPU Women's Volleyball team later this summer in preparation for the 2022 fall season.
