PSU CHOIR DIRECTOR ETHAN SPERRY NAMED ONE OF 25 PEOPLE SHAPING THE ARTS IN PORTLAND
Ethan Sperry, Portland State's Director of Choral Activities, made Willamette Week's cover story on December 6, 2022, as one of 25 people shaping the arts in Portland.
"It’s a list of the people whose personal gravity draws satellites in to their orbit," writes Bennett Campbell Ferguson about the highlighted individuals. "Ethan truly lives and breathes the belief that choral music has the ability to have a profound effect on those who participate in and experience the art form."
"Anyone who thinks choral music isn't cool hasn't met Ethan Sperry."
Read the full article and find Ethan's article in the section titled "New Guard" (although he is not exactly new, having led and inspired the creation of choir music in Portland for ten years).
