CANYONVILLE -- The Oregon DMV office in Canyonville, located at 241 N. Main, is not operating today due to a staffing issue. Residents can check for real-time office closures at the Oregon DMV website and explore the possibility of completing services online through DMV2U.
Beginning May 7, 2025, new federal regulations will require individuals 18 and older to present a REAL ID or an acceptable alternative, such as a government-issued passport, passport card, or military ID, to board a commercial flight in the U.S. Those not planning to fly soon might consider waiting to obtain a REAL ID until they renew their credential or use a passport, as this could suffice for the time being. For those who anticipate flying shortly, the DMV advises being proactive. It can take up to three weeks for a REAL ID card to be delivered, and if someone plans to fly on May 7, obtaining their REAL ID by April 16 would help ensure compliance.
