The City of Dallas is seeking public input on its updated Transportation System Plan (TSP), a long-term strategy document that will guide transportation policies and investments in the city. The initiative aims to gather feedback from residents through both an online open house and an in-person meeting.

Residents are encouraged to participate in the online open house, which provides detailed information about the Dallas TSP, explains the purpose of the project, and offers opportunities for community involvement. Additionally, attendees can share their thoughts on the plan.

For those preferring face-to-face interaction, an in-person session is scheduled for Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the Dallas Civic Center located at 945 SE Jefferson Street, Dallas, OR 97338. Doors will open at 4:00 p.m., with presentations planned for 4:30 p.m. and again at 5:30 p.m. An accessible entrance is available on the north side of the building.

Accommodations for people with disabilities will be provided, and materials can be made available in alternative formats upon request by calling 541-294-3347 or statewide relay 7-1-1 at least 48 hours prior to attendance.

The city encourages residents to "share this email with your friends, family and neighbors" so they can also engage with the process and sign up for updates regarding ongoing work related to transportation planning.

For additional translation or interpretation services under ADA Title II or Civil Rights Title VI accommodations, individuals may contact TTY (800) 735-2900 or use the Oregon Relay Service: 7-1-1. The city emphasizes its commitment to non-discrimination based on disability across all programs and services offered by ODOT as it is an EEO/AA Employer.

Pedestrian access will be maintained around any work zones to ensure safe passage for all individuals.

In related travel news affecting local residents flying from May 7 onward in 2025, federally accepted ID will be required due to REAL ID compliance regulations.
