The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) has launched an online open house to provide information on the upcoming repairs for the OR 126B Westbound Main Street Bridge. The event offers residents a chance to learn more about the project, sign up for email updates, and ask questions.

A full closure of the bridge is anticipated for about three weeks, beginning as early as October 2025. During this period, both directions of traffic will be redirected to use the South A Street bridge.

ODOT encourages community members to visit their webpage to explore an interactive map detailing ongoing construction projects in the area. They remind drivers to exercise caution in work zones, noting that fines are doubled regardless of whether workers or signs are present.

The department also emphasizes inclusivity and accessibility in its communications. "We do not discriminate on the basis of disability in admission or access to our programs, services, activities, hiring and employment practices," ODOT states. They offer translation and interpretation services for those requiring accommodations under ADA Title II or Civil Rights Title VI.

For continuous updates on road conditions and traffic alerts, ODOT advises checking TripCheck.com or calling 5-1-1. Additionally, they remind travelers flying in 2025 that starting May 7th, a federally accepted ID will be required.
