Crews will recommence the curb ramp upgrades project in Burns the week of April 21. Initial activities will involve mobilizing equipment and setting up traffic control measures on Broadway Avenue at B Street. The construction will move south toward Madison Street later in the week.

The project, aiming to enhance accessibility, is expected to be completed by August. During the construction phase, lane and shoulder closures along with possible side street closures might occur intermittently. Nonetheless, ADA-accessible pedestrian detours around all work zones will be established, and business access will remain unaffected. The crews are scheduled to work Monday through Friday, eight hours a day.

"Please watch for work crews and equipment when you see our orange construction signs, cones and barricades," emphasized project notifications.

Work in downtown Burns will focus on the installation of curb ramps and curb extensions at several intersections along Broadway Avenue, including Madison Street, Adams Street, A Street, B Street, and C Street. Most of the project work is near completion, aside from final corrections and minor tasks.
