The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), a prominent advocacy group for small businesses, has announced its endorsement of Monique DeSpain for election to the U.S. House of Representatives. DeSpain is running for a seat in Oregon’s 4th Congressional District.
Anthony Smith, NFIB's Oregon State Director, expressed support for DeSpain, stating, “Monique DeSpain has a demonstrated record of leadership and service. Her impressive background and valuable experience will make her a reliable ally who is willing to stand up for small business priorities. We are confident Monique DeSpain will champion pro-small business policies in Congress and we are proud to endorse her today.”
Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director, echoed these sentiments, commenting, “Monique DeSpain will be an advocate for small businesses across Oregon. She understands the issues important to NFIB members and has pledged to make them a priority in Congress. We are proud to endorse her today and look forward to working together.”
This endorsement was provided by NFIB FedPAC, the organization's political action committee. The committee is funded by voluntary contributions from NFIB members in addition to their membership dues, with decisions managed through a grassroots evaluation process driven by members.
