Daytime lane closures are scheduled on U.S. 26 between Sylvan and SW Jefferson Street from April 7 to 11, as part of a safety corridor tree project.
The lane closure schedule is as follows: The eastbound right lane from Sylvan to Jefferson will close from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 7 and 8. The westbound right lane from Jefferson to the zoo will close during the same hours on April 9 to 11, or until the work is completed.
While lane closures are planned to occur from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, actual times depend on the progress of the forestry work.
Motorists using U.S. 26 west of Portland during this period should expect delays and merging traffic. Drivers are urged to slow down and be careful of workers near traffic.
"Please slow down and watch out for crews working close to traffic."
