The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) has announced a schedule of highway projects in eastern Oregon for 2025. These projects are intended to address pavement repairs, upgrade curb ramps, and enhance traffic and weather sensors. The department aims to extend the lifespan of the transportation system while improving safety for the public.

Vicki Moles, serving as Community Affairs Specialist for ODOT, reiterates the objective: "Our goal is to help extend the lifespan of the transportation system while enhancing safety for everyone." Moles advises that the work is contingent on weather conditions, and scheduling might change. To assist travelers in planning, tripcheck.com offers real-time traffic updates.

Among the projects currently in progress are pavement repairs on I-82 and I-84 in the Umatilla-Pendleton area, as well as on Tower Road to Stanfield. The plan also includes the installation of roadside traffic and weather cameras across Eastern Oregon. Curb ramp upgrades are slated to continue in Umatilla County (Pendleton) and in Umatilla-Morrow County.

Moles encourages those with questions or comments about these projects to reach out directly. For further information on construction projects scheduled across eastern Oregon, ODOT's Region 5 webpage provides comprehensive details. Additionally, up-to-date road conditions and traffic alerts are accessible through tripcheck.com or by calling 511.
