Crews in Lincoln City are actively working to upgrade curb ramps along U.S. 101 to meet ADA standards, aiming to improve accessibility for all pedestrians. With the approach of spring break, an increase in both pedestrian and vehicular traffic is anticipated.

During this period, work will pause in the downtown area but continue near Lincoln Beach. Post-spring break, activities will resume downtown. Drivers are advised to be cautious around ongoing traffic signal upgrades and use designated crossings as some may be temporarily closed for safety reasons.

The concept of "zipper merging" is being encouraged among drivers. This method involves staying in your lane until the merge point and then taking turns with other drivers, which can help maintain smooth traffic flow and reduce accidents.

Local businesses remain open during construction, marked by blue signs indicating access points. Community support is appreciated during this time.

Construction crews operate Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with potential shoulder and lane closures, flagger-directed traffic delays, and construction noise expected.

Residents are encouraged to visit the project webpage for more information on ongoing projects and road conditions via TripCheck.com or by calling 5-1-1.
